Annual Grand Ribbon Winners
The club holds six internal member photo competitions each club year (typically four digitally projected and two print). There are nominally 100 images per competition resulting in approximately 600 images being entered each year. Each competition has two categories, an open category and a unique assigned topic for the other category. Ribbons are given to the top 20% of the photos in each competition. At the end of the club year, these 20% awarded images from each of the six individual competitions are aggregated and again judged by another independent judge or group of judges, who select the top 20% from this set of photos. This results in 4% of the images entered for the year becoming images that are recognized as the Grand Ribbon Winners for the club calendar year.
