Monthly Workshops
Workshops are 60–90-minute sessions (plus time for questions) on a specific photographic topic. They are frequently presented by club members who have expertise in the selected area. Several times per year, we may have presentations by a professional from outside the club to provide an in-depth look at a photographic subject.
There are ten workshops per club year, scheduled at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of each month from September through June. Most of the sessions are in-person at the regular club location. Several winter sessions may be via Zoom. The monthly workshops are open to all Club Members who wish to attend.
Notice of the monthly Club Workshops is sent to members via the Club Email system by the Education Chair. No response is necessary unless specifically requested in the announcement.
In addition to the monthly evening workshops, the Education Chair may announce repeat workshop sessions if there are requests. These are usually afternoon sessions at a local library.
From time to time there may be opportunities for a more hands-on type of workshop in a field trip setting. Club members are encouraged to suggest and help arrange these types of events. The number of participants will generally be limited to allow personalized instruction. The Education Chair will announce the session and notify members of acceptance on a first come basis up to the maximum number of participants.
